Event Overview

Turkish Airlines presents MarXcellence 2025 Powered by Ama Coffee and Driven by Garibook, the 3rd edition of the largest inter-university digital marketing competition is being held globally for the first time. It’s an Inter-University Digital Marketing Competition initiated to give the undergrads an overview of the marketing sector and allow them to work through and gain a deeper perspective of the leading marketing aspects. The participants will work to create and build strategies that revolve around promotion, sales, and branding, which are known to be the main marketing concepts. The goal of this event is to give the participants first-hand experience of the corporate world by acquainting them with practical, real-life challenges.

Event Timeline

Workshop - 1

Format: Hybrid

Domestic participants: In-person attendance.

International participants: Online via Zoom or Google Meet.

Attendance Requirement: Mandatory for at least two members from each team.

Conducted By: Acclaimed Content Specialists from Bangladesh.

Focus Areas:

1) Solving real-life marketing cases (relevant for the first round).

2) Proper implementation of marketing tools.

3) Simple methods for information collection and analysis using marketing analytics.

DATE - 31st JAN

Round - 1

 

Task: Solve a real-life marketing case provided by the sponsors.

Focus: Utilize digital marketing tools to address the problem effectively.

Duration: 5 days to analyze and submit the solution via email.

Judging Criteria:

1) Understanding of digital marketing.

2) Effectiveness of the proposed solutions.

TIMELINE - 31st JAN - 4th FEB

Advancement: Only 30-50 teams will move to the next round.

Workshop - 2

 

Workshop 2 Timing: Scheduled after the announcement of Round 2 results.

Focus Areas: Marketing Promotions and Branding.

Industry Experts: Renowned pioneers will guide participants on:

1) Marketing promotions.

2) Research methodologies.

3) Branding techniques.

Mentorship:

1) Corporate leaders will mentor teams.

2) Assistance provided to bring marketing plans to life.

DATE - 7th FEB

Semi Final

 

Qualified Teams:  Approximately 30-50 teams will advance to the second round.

Round Type: Innovation Round.

Tasks:

1) Develop an innovative Online Video Commercial (OVC).

2) Create a comprehensive marketing plan for the OVC.

Timeframe: Teams will have 5 full days to complete the tasks.

Deliverables:

1) Create proper content for the OVC.

2) Prepare presentation slides for the judges.

Final


Top 6 Teams Selection
: The top 6 teams will qualify for the final round based on their performance in earlier stages.

Challenge: Teams will be tasked with creating disruptive marketing tools for innovative branding and promotional techniques.

Assessment Criteria: Teams will be evaluated on:

1) Effectiveness of their ideas and tools.

2) The level of disruption their solutions bring to the industry.

3) Quality and detail of their proposed solutions and processes.

Timeline:

1) The case will be posted, and participants will have 6 days to develop their plans and strategies.

2) Teams must provide a detailed solution, including a comprehensive process and implementation plan.

Presentation Round:

1) Teams will present their strategies to a panel of eminent judges.

2) Presentations will focus on creativity, practicality, and industry impact.

Prizepool

Registration Process

Teams will consist of 2 to 4 members. A single participant may lack diverse perspectives and struggle with workload.

Open to undergraduate students of all backgrounds. This encourages students from different fields to come together, bringing different ideas and making the experience more interesting.

Cross-university students are allowed. This will allow the participants to collaborate with friends from other universities.
